Baxa Corporation Named One of Best Companies to Work For in Colorado

Englewood, Colo. (PRWEB) July 16, 2007 -- Baxa Corporation has been named a finalist for the 2007 Best Companies to Work for in Colorado. The Best Companies initiative honors Colorado companies that demonstrate dedication to employee growth and quality of life. This second-annual statewide program is based on responses received to an electronic survey by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Baxa Corporation's Colorado-based associates completed the surveys in April. Best Company finalists promote the best employment opportunities in the state -- attracting new workers and promoting their retention.

"We have always promoted a healthy balance between achieving business goals and quality of life," stated Laurel Ditson, VP of Organizational Development, "and the survey results validate our efforts." A summary of the responses was shared with all associates through Baxa Corporation's bi-weekly newsletter. Thanking each associate who took the time to respond to the survey, Ditson continued, "It is rewarding to have the Best Company recognition, but the most important aspect of this process was knowing that our associates feel that their work is rewarding and that Baxa is a great place to come to work every day."

The SHRM Colorado State Council announced the finalists for the Best Companies designation in June. Rankings for the 2007 Best Companies to Work for in Colorado will be released at the SHRM awards luncheon on July 31, 2007, at the BelMar Center in Lakewood, Colorado. 9News Business News Reporter Gregg Moss will serve again this year as the event's master of ceremonies.

The annual competition recognizes participants in two different categories: medium-sized (25-199 employees) and large-sized (200 employees or more). With just over 400 employees worldwide, Baxa is in the large-sized employers' category. All ranking companies were evaluated and chosen by the Best Companies Group for the long-term benefits their participation brings to Colorado.
