RecruitMilitary Career Fair for Military Veterans and Military Spouses Coming to Philly/Jersey on October 11

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) October 8, 2007 -- Hundreds and hundreds of job-seeking military veterans and military spouses from the Philly/Jersey Region and beyond will get a hearty "Welcome aboard!" on Thursday, October 11, when the military-to-civilian recruiting firm RecruitMilitary presents a career fair on the covered rear deck of the legendary battleship New Jersey. That vessel is the most highly decorated battleship in U.S. naval history, and it now serves as an educational museum docked on the Delaware River off the Camden, New Jersey, Waterfront opposite Philadelphia.

The career fair will be open to veterans who already have civilian work experience, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, and military spouses. More than 35 veteran-friendly organizations will conduct one-on-one interviews with the job seekers--organizations that will include corporate employers, law-enforcement agencies and other government employers, educational institutions, veterans service agencies, and veterans associations. The New Jersey was the scene of a highly successful RecruitMilitary Career last May 24, when 37 organizations interviewed well over 400 job seekers.

RecruitMilitary will produce the October 11 event in cooperation with The American Legion; HireVetsFirst, a unit of the United States Department of Labor; and the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (MSCCN). This event will be the 35th of 45 RecruitMilitary Career Fairs scheduled for 2007. During 29 RecruitMilitary Career Fairs produced from January through August, an average of 30-plus organizations interviewed an average of over 400 job seekers.

The line-up for October 11 already includes A. Duie Pyle, Inc., Ace Holding Company, Agusta Aerospace Corporation, Alliance Tech Systems, Ameriprise Financial, Asplundh Tree Expert Co., BAE Systems (CNIR), Bally Total Fitness, CPS TSA Transportation Security Administration, CSX, DeVry University, Drug Enforcement Agency, Fairfax County Sheriff's Office, GE Energy, GEICO Direct, Hanson Building Materials, Kenexa - Beckman Coulter Inc., Lowe's, Miami Dade County Public Schools, Milton Hershey School, Montgomery County Police Department, Oldcastle Architectural, Inc., PA State Police, Pestmaster Franchise Network, Philip Morris USA, Ryder System, Inc., Seniors Helping Seniors, SGS, Six Flags Great Adventure, ThyssenKrupp Elevator, US Border Patrol, Valero Refining Co-Louisiana, Walgreens, and Wells Fargo Auto Finance.
